Medical Leadership Transition – New Chief of Staff

Clinton Memorial Hospital would like to recognize and extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Rajiv Patel, who has faithfully served as Chief of Staff since 2011. Over the past 14 years, Dr. Patel has demonstrated unwavering dedication, facilitating numerous positive changes and continuously advocating for the advancement of our hospital and the well-being of the community we serve.

On June 2, Dr. Patel officially passed the torch to Dr. Rachel Lovano, who assumed the role of Chief of Staff. Dr. Lovano has been a valued member of our medical leadership team, serving as Chair of Surgical Services since 2020. In that role, she has led key initiatives to streamline workflows and improved efficiencies across our perioperative areas, always with a focus on high-quality patient care.

We are sincerely thankful to Dr. Patel for his years of tireless service—marked by commitment, compassion, and countless hours devoted to making CMH a better place for both patients and staff. We are pleased that he will continue to serve on the Medical Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chief of Staff, where his experience and insight will continue to benefit the organization.

We congratulate Dr. Lovano as she begins this important new chapter. We look forward to the fresh perspectives and energy she brings to the role.
