Rehabilitation Services

Following a major surgery, injury or illness, patients sometime need extra help to recover use of their body to be independent. Physical, occupational and speech therapy is available at Clinton Memorial Hospital and on an outpatient basis at the CMH Rombach Health Center. Your physician may write an order for one of these therapy services. This department also provides athletic training services for area high schools.

Clinton Memorial Hospital also opened a six-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit in half of what was formerly Progressive Care on 2 North of the hospital in 2003. Specific criteria have to be met for a patient to qualify for admission. Several diagnoses can be used, but the patient must be able to perform three hours of therapy a day. Case Managers assist physicians in facilitating referrals to the unit.
