CMH Foundation
Auxiliary
Special
events are the specialty of the CMH Foundation Auxiliary, volunteers
who raise money for CMH Regional Health System services and needy
patients through the CMH Foundation. Since its founding in 1952, the auxiliary
has raised thousands of dollars every year for community health
needs.
The group’s annual signature events are the charity gala in the spring and the golf classic in the summer. In addition to supporting various programs and services over the years, the CMH Foundation Auxiliary has contributed to capital improvements—including a $75,000 donation to help build the Foster J. Boyd, MD, Regional Cancer Center, which opened in February of 2007.
The group conducts quarterly meetings to plan fund-raising events and to
hear programs, which typically feature CMH physicians and other CMH health
care professionals. An elected board has separate quarterly meetings, primarily
to provide financial guidance for all activities.
During an annual retreat, the board decides on the fund-raising projects and designates where the proceeds will go. Members vote on all decisions, act as event chairs and serve on committees.
If you are a caring person with time to give, CMH Regional Health System invites you to join a dedicated group of volunteers who share their time and skills.
Research shows that those who volunteer stay healthier, lead happier lives
and live longer. And by volunteering with the CMH Foundation Auxiliary,
you can have the satisfaction that you are supporting healthcare in your
own community, including those whose access might be limited because of
financial hardships.
We’re waiting for you! For more information about becoming an auxiliary member, contact CMH Foundation Auxiliary manager Carol Sebert at 937-382-9224 or by email at casebert@cmhregional.com.
