CMH Gets Trophy For Patient Satisfaction

Satisfaction

Recognized by

RegionalCare

Representatives of outpatient departments at Clinton Memorial Hospital pose with one of the two new travelling trophies RegionalCare Hospital Partners (RCHP) is awarding in a competition among all RCHP hospitals.

RCHP vice president of communications Jeff Atwood recently presented this group with this trophy for CMH having the highest second quarter patient satisfaction rate (for outpatient services) among four surveyed areas compared to the other three RCHP hospitals.

In addition to outpatient services, inpatient, emergency and ambulatory services surveys were considered. The Shoals Hospital in Alabama received the second traveling trophy for biggest improvement in ambulatory services over the first quarter.

Left to right are Teresa Stephens, Jim Cropper, Dawn Lyon, Gene Hook and Nina Humphreys.

Plastic Surgeon Seeing Patients

Dr. Scott C. Lindsay, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is now seeing patients in Suite 308 of the CMH Professional Building. He will eventually move to Suite 304 when renovations are complete.

For more information, or to make an appointment with Dr. Lindsay, please call 937-283-2510.

Public Awareness Event Has New Route

The Fourth Annual Brake for Breakfast, to raise public awareness among area residents about the importance of breast cancer screening, will be from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at the Foster J. Boyd, MD, Regional Cancer Center, 31 Farquhar Ave., across from Clinton Memorial Hospital.

In addition to a free to-go breakfast, drive-through motorists will receive breast cancer information and be encouraged to schedule a mammogram. Cards will be distributed that must be taken to mammogram appointments at Clinton Memorial Hospital Diagnostic Services by the end of the year in order to become eligible for several prizes. Prizes will be awarded in January 2012.

To help alleviate congested traffic conditions experienced in past years, those attending this year will enter the employee parking lot off of West Locust Street and exit to Farquhar Avenue via the center's main entrance.

The event is designed for area residents in motor vehicles only, not pedestrians.

Hospital Dedicated 60 Years Ago

On Sept. 21, 1951, more than 3,000 people attended an open house where the new 64-bed, $950,000 hospital was called a "cathedral to healing."

It has continued to be just that over seven decades of technological and healthcare professional enhancements.
